I have boarded my 3 dogs, Angel, Rosie & Squigglebug, A Queensland
and 2 Yorkies with Shirley several times. Each time we go they get so
excited when we pull in the driveway and can't wait to get out of the
car to go visit their buddy. Although it breaks my heart to leave them, I
can't think of anyplace they'd rather be. The facility is always clean,
and the boarders happy. The kennels are inside and heated or cooled
depending on the weather, so it's the next best thing to being home. It
is such a comfort to know that my family is safe and happy while I'm

Your Best Friend's Inn is by far the very nicest kennel we have
ever found for our dog. She has stayed there several times now
and we have been more than happy with the care she gets and
the clean, well maintained property. The kennels are indoors,
heated and very clean. During the day the dogs are out in a
large, fenced exercise yard that is all in lawn. Our dog, Zoe,
comes home happy and clean. Plus the rates Shirley charges
are very reasonable, especially for the high quality of care she

I have used this kennel several times now and feel
confident that my dog and cat are always well
taken care of. I love the country environment and
there is a nice large run for my 130lbs golden
retriever. I have taken my pets to different boarding
facilities over the years, but will keep coming back
to Shirley at Your Best Friend's Inn.

My Border Collie & Mini Doxi think that THEY are the ones
getting the vacation when I take them to YBF Inn! The owner,
Shirley Maxon, has a special touch with dogs. She can handle
dogs that are too timid and/or aggressive (that the other
kennels can't or won't). The pets all get one-on-one
care/playtime and attention to each one's personality. I don't
have to worry that they might not be taken care of as well I do
at home. At YBFI, my dogs get good quality metal dishes and
comfy dog beds and blankets during their stay. My dogs are
happy to be there and that makes ME happy too! -Trina 01/14/10

kennels in the area and wasn't too happy with them. Your
Best Friends Inn was the first place where I felt completely
comfortable with leaving my pet.
Knowing that there is one main person who is always there
(Shirley), and being able to talk to her before and after a trip
gives me peace of mind that they are being taken care of
and that Shirley is getting to know the dogs' personalities.
Our pug is VERY timid around new people and other dogs,
and Shirley was very gentle and understanding with her.
When we pick her up she is usually very scared and timid,
but after one stay here she came out more confident and
actually seemed happy. Shirley even had a separate kennel
in her office that she used when the big dogs were scaring
Lola a bit too much. The kennels seemed very clean, much
more than any other kennels I visited, and there are a
limited amount of them so you know your dog is being dealt
with on a more personal level. They are heated/cooled
which was very important to me having a Pug in these
summer temperatures. The prices were actually better than
most other kennels I've tried, and the quality is outstanding.
I will definitely use this place in the future for both my dog

important for any dog. Shirley is very attentive and is sure to let

excited he can hardly contain himself till we get there.
I love the play yard, the indoor kennels and the loving care they
get.
Everything is always very clean and secure. Shirley is excellent
with pets, very knowledgeable and alert to their actions.
I highly recommend 'Your Best Friend's Inn'.

Your Best Friends Inn is the next best thing to home. Shirley
has years of experience working in a vet office and it shows.
Our dog needed medication while she was there and Shirley
was on top of it. She was great about it. The kennels are
spotless and the commercial washer and dryer are always
going - very clean! The kennels have air and heat and the
dogs have plenty of room outside for play. We'll always take
